What about the people who have never heard of Jesus or even seen a Bible?

Creation proves the Creator

The wonders of God’s creation

In Genesis 4:26 the Word of God says,

“And men began to call upon the name of the Lord.”

How can that be? That was before the Bible, before there were any churches, or synagogues, before radio, TV, CDs DVDs or as far as we know teachers or preachers of any kind!

Our answer begins in the book of Psalms chapter 19:1-3 where we read:

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.”

In Eccl. 3:11 King Solomon said:

“He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.”

And in Romans 2:15 we read:

“The law is written on every man’s heart.”

Here God reveals that the concept of eternal life after death and moral accountability for how we lived is written in the genetic code of every man’s heart. Romans 2:15 is referring to the moral law of the Ten Commandments.

The fact is, whether they will admit it or not, every man knows in his heart it is wrong to murder, to commit adultery, to steal and lie. It is written on every mans heart just as sure as geese fly south in the winter and Salmon swim upstream to spawn. God put a moral compass in the heart of every man called conscience.

Therefore, Romans 1:18-20 says,

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.”

God is saying in essence, all an honest, thinking person has to do is look and meditate on the sun, the moon, the stars, and the wonders of creation to know that anything so perfectly designed, so complex, and so well-balanced as is our world and our universe could in no way have made itself!

The Miracle of Life

Baby

An 8 week old baby

The millisecond your life began you were a tiny seed called a cell. You were so small; a microscope was needed to see you. When the time came for the race to begin you were literally running for your life.

What makes this such a staggering accomplishment is the fact that you were one of more than 300,000,000 other runners all running for the same prize–a chance to kiss the queen. Only one would win the right to live, all others would die.

The race began for everyone at the same time and everybody faced the same hurdles. You swam through what seemed like miles of dark tunnels. The pack was tight and everyone was pushing and shoving toward the goal. Imagine, more than 300 million runners all running as fast as they could trying to finish first.

But you, you were the fastest, the strongest, the most passionate and persistent runner of all. Finally, as the light at the end of the tunnel began to shine, you were the first one to break on through to the other side. You won the exclusive right to meet the queen in all of her glory. Upon entering the royal chamber with a shout of ecstasy as you heard the words, “I now pronounce you husband and wife” and you kissed the bride. Nine months later a champion was born and it was you!

Winning a race with that many other runners should qualify you for the cover on the Wheaties box. Like I said, you’re a world class champion. Don’t ever let anyone convince you otherwise. You were born to win.

On that glorious day of conception the 2 cells became 1 and miraculously the 1 became 2 as the process of life began. At that moment, human DNA which has never existed before determined all of your physical traits: gender, hair color, eye color, all genetically predetermined.

Consider Psalms 139:14-16,

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.”

Just 22 days later your heart began to beat. At week 3 we could see your eyes and ears. At week 6 your fingers and toes were developed. By week 11 you could smile, frown and suck your thumb. Ultrasound shows that during sleep you were experiencing Rapid Eye Movement, which means that you were dreaming even before you were born.

 The Human Body

Human beings are exhibit “A” to the great power and wisdom of God. He made you in His image and in His likeness. In Psalms 139:14 the Bible says,

“You are fearfully and wonderfully made.”

The human body is for all practical purposes infinitely more complex and efficient than anything ever built by man. You name it: a Cray super-computer, the Space Shuttle, an atomic reactor; these systems are simple and inefficient when compared to the human body.

An adult body consists of: 100 trillion cells, 206 bones, 600 muscles, and 22 internal organs. The largest organ is your skin. Every square inch that covers your body is made up of about 19 million skin cells. Approximately 1 billion cells are replaced every hour as your DNA transmits coded information to new cells. Your body completely regenerates itself every 7 years!

The human brain is made up of 12 trillion cells. Each cell connects to 10,000 other cells, making 120 trillion connections − more than all the telephone systems in the world combined. The brain sends and receives information to and from the cells through the nervous system instantaneously.

The smell of a flower, a kind word, a walk in the park with a friend, a Christmas gift, your earliest childhood memories, everything you have ever experienced is stored in your brain. By contrast, the fastest supercomputer in the world costs $100,000,000, is as large as a 6,000 square foot house, and still cannot produce one original thought!

The human eye has more than 137,000,000 light sensitive cells, which translate coded information instantaneously through your nervous system and the brain sees! Your eyes can communicate your emotions and are said to be the windows of your soul. Scientists estimate that the muscles in your eyes make more than 100,000 movements a day.

Your blood circulates through more than 60,000 miles of arteries, veins, and capillaries (enough to go around the world almost 3 times), and completes the cycle 1,000 times a day. That comes to 60,000,000 a day! The human heart beats more than 2.5 billion times in an average lifetime.

There are about 10,000 taste buds on the surface of your tongue and on the roof of your mouth that make eating so enjoyable. The digestive system then breaks down the food into smaller molecules, extracts the nutrients which are then absorbed into the blood. The blood delivers the nutrients to the cells throughout the body and gives us energy.

The muscular system is made of more than 630 muscles divided into two groups–voluntary and involuntary. Voluntary muscles only work when you tell them to. When you play the piano or swing a bat. Or, when you close your eyes, bend over and smell the aroma of a freshly baked loaf of bread. Involuntary movements include your heart-beat, the blinking of your eyes, and the movement of your diaphragm so you breathe without even thinking about it!

More than 30 facial muscles cause your face to reflect how you feel and what you’re thinking. Muscles cause you to smile, to frown, to create looks of surprise, happiness, sadness, confusion, anger, joy, wonder, and every other emotion you can think of.

The cardiovascular system, the respiratory and circulatory systems, the nervous system, the skeletal and muscular systems, the reproductive system, the digestive system, the immune system, and the 5 senses are marvels of wisdom and ingenuity far beyond the ability of man to design and build.

And talk about energy efficiency? The whole system runs on bread and water!

To look at these extremely complex systems and conclude that the human body is the product of mindless coincidence or blind chance is not science.

In the same sense, the Sistine Chapel is proof positive there was a Michael Angelo. The Mona Lisa proves there was a Leonardo Da Vinci. And there had to be a Beethoven to write the 5th Symphony. Even though none of us have ever actually seen these men, the creation of their work proves the creator. There is not a judge or jury in the world who would disagree with that evidence.
